Seiko caliber 5740C is the first 36,000 A/h hi beat movement in Japan, and second in the world. It was introduced in 1967 after Girard Perregaux first developed and introduced it in 1966.

But instead of putting it in their Grand or King Seiko line, Seiko put its new hi-beat caliber inside Lord Marvel 5740-8000, the third generation of the Lord Marvel lineup (LM5740).

This Lord Marvel 5740, from the 1976 showcases a striking timeless design with its faceted lugs stainless steel case, housing a beautiful classic silver linen breguet dial pair with the two-tone dauphine hands. Despite showing a light signs of wear at some side of the dial edges, light hairline scratches on the case, the watch remains in good condition, maintaining its unpolished sharp edges and clear crystal.

Powered by a hi-beat movement, the watch runs smoothly with a loud and seamless sweep of the second hand. The movement has good accuracy and a power reserve of up to 30 hours when fully wound, ensuring reliable performance.
